Missfire on 1 to 8

2000 XK8

Car starts and drives gently OK, but enthusiastic driving or a steady drag when hot can result in a"rumbling" and sometimes RP. Pending codes are misfires on all cylinders and 1316- which is what flagged RP. Don't think it is coils as when it goes-it goes, it is after a good bit of throttle, it refuses a repeat performance.

Thinking it is fuel starvation, the filter has done no more than 4K miles and I am starting to think it is the fuel pump either losing performance or the mesh filter is blocked.

Have a full tank so while that is consumed, will clean the MAF, check for leaks, clean the connectors etc. Also, will go for a drive with he OBD2 connected to see what the fuel trims are up to.

I'd suspect fuel pump or air leak too.

Did you read any obdII codes to help us here. I know you will post but I find it hard to believe
it's running rough / RP and not have a CEL on

Fuel trims will show whether an air leak or not.
