over the last year the emblem came off the chrome for my trunk badge and left fender badge. I just noticed for the fender badges, I could replace them with euro spec turn signals for far less and it would be different. I don't know if the wires exist on us spec cars, if not, they would work as side reflectors. also, does anyone make the emblem to glue onto the chrome badge?

 

It would help if you tell us exactly which model and year you have.

Pics of the failing emblems would help too.

car is 97 conv. , not supercharged. green backround, front fender oval and round trunklid.

From a similar question posted many years ago, I think I recall correctly that the wires are there but European specification indicators do not comply with US regulations.

'97 won't have a trunk release button - unless someone fitted the chrome plinth from a later car. Presumably this one:

The US XK's all have the Blinker wiring behind the Fenders....Just remove the Oval Emblem by sliding it forward and it will come out of the Fender.....or is it backward...….Just slide it!!! You can buy Clear Blinkers on eBay but make sure you get the Chrome plated Amber Bulbs to go with it!

I got the best prices at sngbarratt for the trunk roundel and the fender leaper. They're on the way, but I am considering getting a pair of the lights anyway, they're useful and don't tend to pop off

 

Maybe so, but they are ugly due to the lack of recession in the fender - like warts on a pretty girl.

If you just want the blinker functionality add it to the front corner lenses instead.
