Default Missing interior boot panel ? 2000 XK8 Coupe

Is there supposed to be a panel that covers the underside of the rear tray ? It certainly seems there should be as there are two right angle brackets that look like a panel would attach. I could not find a panel listed in the parts list or "exploded view" showing the other panels. A part number would be very helpful if anyone knows it.

There is a vertical panel that mounts behind the Gas Tank that just fits in place, no fasteners.

The 2 brackets (near the lid hinges) are used to mount a Cargo Net assembly that is not supplied on all cars.

Thanks, so you are supposed to be able to see half the underside of the speaker and some wiring then I guess ? Looks somewhat "unfinished" but not a big deal. I think I'll just remove those two brackets so they don't snag anything going in and out of the boot. Or perhaps even fabricate a panel, looks like a simple flat panel with one bend would do it. I'll check that off my "to do" list for now.

P.S. Removed the "cargo net" brackets. They were installed with locking compound and are very substantial bolts. Evidently Jaguar supposed you might have some very heavy cargo in that net !

Provided the carpet covering the fuel tank is correctly positioned, you shouldn't see much under the parcel shelf unless you climb in!

There is wiring which is usually taped up out of sight under the shelf. The tape often dries out and comes loose - easily replaced.

On my car, about 1/2 of the Speaker is Visible. The Right Angle Brackets on my car did not have the locking compound.

I used the right hand bracket bolt to mount a small box in which I have mounted 2 pushbuttons to activate the Fuel Pumps (XKR) to "Exercise" them during winter storage:
