Missing part???
On the inside of my top, frwrd/center is a ablong opening, looks like a plastic pull pc was there? Is that the case and if so where can I get a Tan one to match my interior?
There is no missing part. That is what the Drivers Handbook refers to as the "header aperture". It gives access to the header when the time comes to close the convertible top manually.
There you go Test Point - make that suggestion on MotorCarsltd.com!
The last time I was on their website, I saw that they were offering cash rewards for items they could manufacture and sell. Maybe you can parlay that reward into discounted parts (always a necessity with our vintage models)!
Oops, maybe we aren't considered vintage yet....not sure......

So there is just a HOLE as far as I am concerned. Little part of my fabric is hanging from it, looks stupid. Was it even tidy'd down to look right at some point when new?
I sware these cars, for the money one spends new for one, the class they are in have some of the DUMBEST things about them. Cheap plastic, bla bla bla.
My brother has one of those bigger 4dr jags, i think the biggest one avail, like 3 years old. Wipers went out, backs of front seats coming off. To look at the car ya think it was new as it is clean as a pin.

I don't know about it looking stupid (although I'm not sure it stands out THAT much), but if you ever HAVE to use it you might be really happy to have the hand-hold.
I just went down and looked at mine and it is nicely sewn all the way around and there is nothing hanging from it. I'm wondering if your headliner has been replaced and that's why it doesn't look so good....

Well there is someone that makes a nice burl walnut trim piece for the handle:

I've been going back and forth on it. Seems a bit pricey for a simple piece of wood and a piece of plastic to sandwich together.

The silver screws don't look so good in the middle of the wood in this picture.
With the hole being all-fabric it's hardly noticeable. Add wood trim and it will stick out.
I'd say as long as it's not torn or damaged, it's best off left as-is.

My material has can undone a little bit. Not real bad but I thing that wood thingy is the better way to do it. I was thinking they would have pu some type of thing like it in there from factory.
