Hello, it's me again. Regrettably, the owners manual was missing from my recently purchased 2002 XKR. It seems that- based on all the phone icons plastered on several buttons- that it's possible to set up the car to use my phone.

If anyone can explain this OR provide a picture of the appropriate page(s) in the manual I would be grateful.

 

the phone buttons were for the old analog factory installed phone and do not work with newer phones

 

I have a Motorola phone setup in one of my 2000MY XKRs. (I don't think it will 'connect')
It is the wife's car and she wants it factory stock so it stays in the console cubby.

I think I also have one in a box somewhere of a complete setup. (customer return for some reason)

As a 2003 X-Type owner, we have all had to learn this unfortunate fact! I once thought the same thing since I have similar buttons all over.

 

For some reason I feel like IF a call could be made it'd somehow be like $15 a minute or something! 😂

 

The phone buttons do all work in those late builds that have the Bluetooth option. Maybe just MY2005/6 ? (My XK8 was built in May 2005, but the VIN designates it a 2006)
