Module Experts....any experience?
Has anyone delt with Module Experts to repair any of the control modules within our cars?
I am wondering if they can repair the Transmission Control Module (TCM) from my '06 XK8 that has had a fault that we have been living with for the past eight years.
The Jag dealership did the diagnostics and told us there was a fault in the TCM. They tried to re-program the TCM but it would not.
We had an Indy check the trans as well and we were told the same; they also tried to re-program and could not. They did clear the adaptives, but the fault remained.
I called Module Experts and was told for $199 they would repair the module. They want funds up front via a credit card...so that was the first red flag.
Anyways, anyone have any experience with them?
Thanks

Module Experts only repairs electronics, so the valve body would need to go elsewhere.
However, I have concluded that all this business does is collect money, tells you they tested it and found nothing wrong, sends it back to you. I had this experience with another module repair business in Florida on an ECU from a Corvette. I sent it to them three times, was told the same, nothing wrong. It did have a failure, but only when hot.
Have decided not to deal with Module Experts.

Agree with Jon. I tried one who advised it was not repairable and the 2nd advised it was good. Both refunded the repair cost but not S&H which I did not expect them to cover. Kinda a Crapshoot
