In previous threads I have detailed the rebuilding of my 2000 XK8 after it was involved in a front end crash.
The car is back together and except for a cooling fan issue that I am waiting on parts to fix, the repairs are almost completely finished.
I didn't realize it until after all of the other work was done, but the center console was damaged during the crash. Today, I've taken the center console out and have found that the frame that surrounds the radio and the climate control & hazard consoles is severely damaged. I am attempting to piece it back together with JB Weld, but I'm not optimistic about the strength and overall integrity after the repairs. This is what I'm dealing with:
This is halfway through the "piecing it back together" process & I'm sure that there will be a few fragments that I can't find.
I've searched eBay and Google and have not found this part listed for sale anywhere. I'm hoping that someone here might have one laying around that they are willing to part with...?
Says "to 1999" but I have a broken one (from a 1997 car) and it looks identical. The part number should be moulded on the base between the two rectangular cut-outs

My radio bezel was in the same condition-totally in pieces, and could not figure out how it happened, now I know. My jag has had a tough life but it's happy now.
I found my radio bezel broken as well. Does anybody know which glue I have to use to strengthen the frame? Does epoxy resin with fiber glass or super glue work or can you withdraw it later like from PP plastic?
