I have one of these devices. The suction mount attaches to the windshield and works fine but if the arm was maybe 50-75 mm longer it would get the device much closer to the edge of the dash and to me. Does anybody use a similar device and have any suggestions for mounts ?

 

I used to use a Brodit ProClip for SatNav in my XK8.





There's a vent (this one) and a centre console mounting available.
