Default Mounting front license plate on XK8

Here in Minnesota, a front plate is required. I hate to drill holes in the car, but I don't see any alternative. What is the best way to mount a front license plate on a 2001 XK8?

I live in MN, I've run without for almost 6 years now I've been stopped 3 times for plate warnings, and my wife yells at me, but I still go without. Give it a try for a while and see…it is worth it If I eventually have to put one on, I will zip tie it to my 3 piece mesh XKR grille. Try a search, there are some people who have fabricated brackets that don't require drilling.

Yelp Hawaii requires a front plate also but I took them off all my cars years ago. Just need it for a yearly safety inspection.

When I got my Xk8 the front plate had a bracket bolted to the over riders, very ugly. I'll rise the ticket.

I drove for decades without a front plate on various imports. Did get stopped for warnings once or twice, but no fine. When I finally did get ticketed, SWMBO decided I needed one mounted.

I used the zip tie method. Can't tell from 3 feet away and it isn't permanent. Plus I have the bonus of personally lowering the crime rate statistics here in North Dallas.

I have used a numberplate holder that grips behind the bottom of the 2 front horns. It is plastic and no holes required. The top of the number plate is located at 1/3 th of the the grill. looks nice and tidy.

Sounds like just what I'm looking for. Do you remember where you got it?
