Default My new XKR

Flew to Naples, FL today to pick up my new XKR, 2002 with 34k miles. It's in great shape. The only issue is the head liner is sagging some but reading this forum, I understand that I can get that fixed for a few hundred dollars. I pay for the car tomorrow!

an x-type to an xkr...I'd classify that as an "upgrade". congrats, and if you post a pic, I'll look for you on 183!

I agree with everything Matt has said. Definite upgrade. Think about it, if you have any problems that you can't figure out, Matt is just around the bend... a few hours, some beer, some tools and some Jags... what more could two men ask for on a Saturday afternoon?

Enjoy your new XKR mjaris. Post some pictures as soon as possible!

Nice, love the coupes! I would tint the windows dark, especially with the Texas heat! Best of luck with the new ride!

Very nice looking, and the coupes are relatively rare here (at least they are in California). As few XK8/XKR that I see on the streets seeing a coupe is even rarer.

I wonder if the color on yours is the same as mine (Quartz?). Whatever it is the photo looks great. But I would definitely look into at least a mild tint on all of the windows to make a nice contrast.

Cool. Nice color, and nice rims. I agree with the window tinting comment. It will look nice with that color.

Thanks guys and thanks for the window tinting idea. I hadn't thought about that but you're correct, it would look great and will help with the Texas heat. I must say, this is one of the best and nicest forums.

I think this did not happen until the 2003 model (or 2004?).

I'm in love, this is my dream car and it's as great as I thought it would be, however, I can't shake the feeling that I'm 16 again and took my dad's car without asking!

It drives beautifully and when you step on it WOW. Mercedes and BMWs are fine cars but Jags just have so much class.

I called about it and was told it was sold, Good luck. Be glad you did not go after the one in Miami, what a piece of work.
