I need to replace the rear bumper parking sensor bracket, one of the middle ones. I can only find a p/n of: C2N2870.
However, it looks like the collar is flat on C2N2870, but mine has a collar that has a wedge profile, ie thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top, see picture.
(The two small ribs are there to prevent rotation when fitted in the bumper)
My car is XK8 convertible 2002, California sold. But I would not rule out that the bumper was replaced.

Any idea what part number this might be?

I did order a C2N2870 and hope to make it fit. Maybe I can combine the two.

 

No, I have not been able to solve it. I have asked several sellers and sent the picture, but nobody seems to have it in stock and is therefore not able to confirm.

I suppose you got the part by now. Did it look exactly like in my picture, ie with the variable thickness of the collar, and the two small ribs to prevent rotation?

message it was at customs. Will send a photo when I get it.

 

Got the part and fitted it. It does not have the tapper and only has a single key. I shortened the key to the same length as the org I so I could twist it to the locked position. It’s not beautiful but it is totally functional. I may fill it in with some black kit.
