So I make a copy of the latest DVD with the clock for a friend. Drive it around to make sure it works OK and put it in his 02 XK8. The Database reads that it is the latest but the Software is the V1.0. Mine reads V4.0. I tried disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes to clear the memory but that did not work. Is there anyway to clear the Nav memory so that it will load the later software and put the later large clock on the screen?

 

I had difficulty updating the software using a cloned DVD, but the original worked just fine. That could be your problem. Use your original DVD, then give him the clone for use afterwards, should work that way.
