I'm looking to swap out the factory navigation screen as I no longer use it. I've been thinking of a DVR (digital video recorder) setup with a rear license plate camera, and potentially a switchable screen to view out the back while driving, if desired.

The purpose of the DVR would be to record the next time I get rear-ended, which seems inevitable given inattentive drivers with iPhones coupled with Brembo brakes on this car - it comes to a stop a lot quicker than most people expect. Sounds silly, I know, but it's the second time I've been rear-ended badly enough to have a car totaled. Might as well get the video squared away for next time.

I've found several rear mount cameras online. Anyone know of a good source for DVRs and small flat screen monitors?
