Default Need AC parts help 1997 XK8

1997 XK8

My ac blows cool air. I want to recharge it. I pulled the cap off the low side port and saw bubbles. I also saw that there was no schrader valve, just a ball, and no external threads to hook up a gauge. I assume that there is a valve replacement for this ball. Can anyone help me with a replacement part number? Can I just replace the valve or do I need to replace the entire pipe? I will want to replace the high side valve at the same time. Thanks.

Replace the CHARGE VALVE MHD7372BA.

When you have the new replacement, you will see how the part fits.

Thanks motorcarman.
I just ordered that part from Jagbits.com. It seems like a good solution to a weak factory part. They were the only one to have it. Any other website says they are out of stock and it is no longer manufactured.

I replaced both of mine as part of my rebuild. Part number for the one on the Receiver/Dryer is MHD7372AA, and the one for the Low Pressure side, should you need it, is MHD7372BA.
