Default need a pic of your steering wheel cover

Hello,

As I go through fixing the bits and things with my 1997, the steering wheel airbag cover really bothers me. It looks like there used to be a "cat" badge there, and AIRBAG and Horn symbols. Are these actual badges, or just embossed? I have done a google search and cannot find a good pic to guide me. Would someone please post a good picture?

If they are badges that were glued on, a source would be helpful. I have scoured ebay.uk and jagbits...

many thanks!

John

This is from a eBay listing for a 1998 XK8:

This is exactly how mine looks. And every one I've driven.

Thanks. I feel a bit foolish, as I was sure there was a cat badge there, since mine has a whitish "there used to be something glued there" look. See attached pictures. Why would my cat emboss fade or discolor while the rest of the cover remain the "coffee" color?

Who knows. Maybe the previous owner had something there? I can't remember if mine has white stuff on it, I'll check later when I go back to the car to grab my tooth brush.

Go to Leatherique and get some leather dye and re-dye it.

Yes, it looks to me as if the embossed Jaguar head is just a bit tired and in need of a clean up.

exactly the problem. 15 minutes with a soft toothbrush and some upholstery cleaner on the entire cover did the trick. The stitching was clogged with crud even. I cannot believe how poorly the previous owner cared for this beautiful piece of automobile art.
