I have developed a very loud speak that sounds like it is under my dash. Every bump in the road and it squeals. So loud and constant that you cannot hear radio. Help!!!!

I had a similar problem w/ my 2000 XK8 driving it home from purchasing it in Florida (about a 600 drive one way and this started about half way...); drove me crazy the whole way. The sound was like a metallic squeak every time we would drive over a bump in the road, didn't matter how slow or fast we were going. It turned out for me to be the front, upper shock isolators. They had detriotated...another material problem. A couple hundred bucks if you do it yourself then an alignment would be a good idea. Good luck!

Just started digging into my annoying "squeak" this morning and, like DarrenT, it appears to be the upper shock mount bushing. If you pull the black caps off of your shock towers you'll be able to get a decent view of the condition of those bushings. My driver's side is completely gone and the top of the shock is clearly scraping against the side of the tower opening. Strangely, the right side looks fine (I hear the right side is normally the first to go out).
