New Owner 05 XKR Have a few questions
Just purchased a 2005 XKR and I was curious about a few things. My vehicle seems to have all the upgrades from the Recaro heated seats, heated windscreen, 20 inch Sepang wheels, ETC,,,, Plus a phone mode switch...
Is this,,, in a 2005, bluetooth compatible? I have not found a phone in the vehicle. There is not one in the arm rest nor a plug. I press the button and it messages No Phone. I would like to have bluetooth capabilites and have read the threads but they are not year and model specific.
Also, the car has the xenon lights and would love to improve the other lights (directionals, side markers, back up, ETC). What has been used by the readers here and what is highly recommended? The brighter the better for me.
Again, my vehicle 2005 XKR and would love the plug and play type add on's.... Makes it easier to return to orginal that way...
Thanks in Advance,
Da Count

All XKs were pre-wired for a phone, regardless if the original owner opted for the factory phone or not. All radios have a phone button on them that does nothing, except display "no phone". I do not believe that any of the X100 models had factory Bluetooth. There are, in this forum, a number of threads detailing options for installing just Bluetooth or Bluetooth plus an audio upgrade. If all you want is Bluetooth, you can add a Parrot hands free system fairly easily using the factory wiring, which will actually use that phone button. See this thread:

I can't help you the lights but I'm sure other members will chime in.

Thanks Mark- I read that thread and wanted to make sure that there were no changes in wiring/pre-wiring thru the years. I just picked the car up for the wife for Christmas and I fell in love with it. I would like to add some minor features such as the bluetooth ETC. We have an XJ6 that has been PROBLEM FREE, But now I am afraid its time to retire that car and make room for this.
Thanks Again,

I have a Coupe 2005 and I bought it on 11/11/11 it had 22,300 miles on it. Actually I searched every state except Alaska and Hawaii for a coupe. Found this in Fort Meyers Florida. I personally love the lines on the the 05 the most. Just came back from the North Carolina Mountains and it ran beautifully on the Blue Ridge Parkway it loves the cold air.

Also I am curious about a few more items:
One poster said his vehicle was 114th off the production line... How do you find this information out?
Apparently, there were 584 XKR's built in 2005,,, I would love to know how many were Jaguar Racing Green and had Recaro heated seats, heated windshield, 20 inch Sepang wheels, Brembo brakes, suspension upgrade, adaptive cruise control, speed limiter, ETC... Is that possible?
I was going to go to the dealer who sold the vehicle new and ask if they could make me up an original window sticker. I would love to wrap that for the wife for under the tree on Christmas... Wonder if they have that information and a build list...
