Default ? new springs reduce rolling in corners?

While I await delivery for the upgraded front anti-roll bar and bushings from the Jag R Performance Pack (thank you Gaudin Jaguar parts for being so diligent!), I'm wondering if changing the springs would improve cornering as well. The R pack springs are not available anywhere, nor is the R pack rear anti-roll bar but at least there are alternatives.

Can anyone attest to new front springs reducing lateral roll?

I have no interest in changing springs for anything else as I find the appearance just fine and I like not scraping on anything (which several people here have complained of when they changed their springs).

As a general proposition, yes, stiffer springs will reduce cornering roll. But the law of unintended consequences can kick in here and effect handling in some not-so-good ways.

Also, changing rates in the front but not the rear may create issues. (In cornering, it creates a twisting load in the body since the front will now want to roll less than the rear. Under braking, the car will dive less; under acceleration, it will sit back less.)

The R Performance rear sway bar is smaller than the convertible. If you want a larger rear sway bar get the 20mm bar from Ultra Racing along with the body braces.

Do you have details about the diameters on the R Performance front and rear sway bars? The dealers in the USA don't. I'm in Denver CO.

I have a 2002 coupe with some "SuperSport" option that pre-dates the R Performance parts introduced as an option for coupes from 2003-2006

Just to be clear, you are saying the convertibles have a larger rear sway bar than the R Performance Pack did? Details please...

Also, XKRacer (Tony of ParagonDesignUK) informed me of a 22mm rear bar by Andrew of Jaguar Specialties in Los Gatos, CA USA. I just emailed him today Saturday to ask about price and availability.

I forgot where I found the information on the sway bar, but I will look. I think with to big of a rear sway bar the car may get tail happy & come around on you.
