New wheels are on! Im still in shock. So different!!

Here they are! I'm having a hard time getting used to them! The painting starts Monday so I'm hoping that the new black oak metallic color softenes the wheels more. If they still seem too strong, I may paint the spokes black oak as well.
Springs are on the way too. Lowering springs. Front shock mounts just came in today too.
So what's the consensus?

I wish the paint looked as good in person as it does in the pics. Front fenders and hood have to go to bare metal due to spider webbing and rear drivers quarter panel has a huge pulled out dent. Scratches and a few dings too. Black wax only does so much!!
Wow Phil, you cat looks great!
The wheels are very nice, but I can't help thinking they'd look better if they didn't have the polished lip surrounding the spokes. I think the red jag logo complements the callipers nicely!

Wheels are nice. Look like a more aggressive version of the double-fives. Like the caliper and center hub badge go well together.
Paint the car, but leave the wheels alone for a while and see if they start to grow on you more as they are.

This was the look/ inspiration I was going for. Arden.
And I'm leaving wheels as is for now. Still struggling on paint color. It's between two, black oak metallic or dark otter metallic.
My painter wants me to use a lincoln color, tuxedo black metallic. It's a true black metallic.
Honestly, I'm still trying to get my head around these wheels. Such a drastic change. I think more than anything, it's the "off the shelf" look. I've never used standard finished wheels on my cars.
I dare say I've lost my way on this one!!
I actually like the wheels, they're just so vivid though. Oh well!

I've forgotten, but what size are the wheels, 'cause if you don't want them, I'd probably take them off your hands. They're very nice and make cleaning my red painted calipers a lot easier than reaching in between the spokes of my double fives. I'm also going to go out on a limb and predict that you change your mind on the color of your car before it goes to paint. Just a guess.

He's already changed his mind on the color about 4 times. At first he wanted dorchester grey. Then he wanted Copper Black Metallic, then he wanted the acura metallic black bronze or something like that, then he was longing for Black oak metallic and now he's fondling the idea of using tuxedo black. Am I missing any colours here?
