It's really amazing. I've owned her for about 4 months. The very first day about an hour after I bought her I was parked in a gas station and this guy drove by really slow staring and said nice car. The wife and I went out to eat at a local restaurant which we frequent. A women we know only from there saw us drive up. When we got inside she came over to us and compliment on the car. Her words where I don't really care about most cars but yours is a beauty I really like it. Another time we came out of the same restaurant and an old gentlemen was poring over the car while his wife stood by. As we were walking towards her I could hear him saying how sweet looking it was. One day I was driving her when a friend of my moms was going by. She blurted out, what did you do rob a bank?
Honestly it's amazing. BRG,cashmere interior,19" apollos,convertible.

I saw the new XK8 for the first time in Dubai in 98. It was one of the most sexy cars I'd seen and time seemed to stop. I knew at that moment that one day I would be an owner.

Today, that feeling hasn't diminished and I find myself smiling when I walk into the garage.

I am continuously getting stopped by the local Sherriff's Deputies telling me I am going too fast. Every time they have simply given me a verbal warning, but man it sure spoils my gas mileage what with all the slowing and pulling over at the side of the road for five minutes. I think they might just want a closer look at the XKR to be honest.
And then there are all the unsolicited advances of young women looking for a ride when I have the top down. Some have even offered to "flash" me, whatever than means, in return for a spin in the car.
Just the other day I came out from a quick stop at the grocery store only to find a pretty young lady sprawled out across the hood with a huge smile on her face. And this after I had just washed and waxed the car. Needless to say it now has suntan lotion smudges all over the windshield.
What may be the most annoying part though, are all the people who stare at the car wherever I go. No more travelling around town in relative anonymity!

Can anyone suggest a solution to these issues? TYIA
Qwitzerbellyachin ! I Should Be SO LUCKY.

Same for me, I saw the first one at the San Francisco auto show. I watched as the guy jacked up the car to turn the wheels so the wheel cap was in the right position. I was hooked. Had to wait until the kids got through University, but I got one!

I park there also but only because the car is handicapped and not me.

I don't know if anyone else is having the same constant problem with the cup holders.

Whenever I get onto the interstate my water bottle ends up in the back seat......

Actually that's part of an elaborate jettison system.

The gas pedal is part of the eject-object-to-the-rear-seat linkage. The brake pedal is part of the eject-object-into-expensive-electronics-in-the-dash linkage.
