I knew you paid a premium for plates in the UK but I am stunned at the price people will pay. Mine was $50 plus $35/year. If I remember correctly David Beckham had 13EKS (Becks) on his first car he bought after he started playing at Man U.

 

I'm lucky as I have a three letter surname. So a plate with my initial and whole surname on it, cost me £250.00 and it's been on six different cars to date...
