Isn't the tranny on the 6-speed xkr rated up to about 450hp? Might be easy to get 500hp out of the xkr, but I'd budget a new tranny in that deal

The ZF 6 speed is plenty stout, and there are even upgrades you can do if so inclined.

It is basically the same as the Ford 6R80 (Ford licensed the design) and the mustang guys put upwards of 1000hp into them.
