No power to heather panel.

Default No power to heather panel.

Hello everybody. I have a strange problem. The heather panel is totally dead, i just happen last week when i was on the way to my job. I have checked all fuses and relays I manage to find but everything seems to be OK ? Anyone who experienced this ?

Guess the Sun over here in Texas has burned-out my Brain....It was 106 here in Houston today....but in all my years, so help me! I've never heard of a heather panel...Now I've heard of a Leather Panel but never a Heather Panel....Please come clean! What the Hell is it?

I wonder...
Do you mean one of the rows of switches on the centre console above the stereo head unit?

Are your symptoms similar to M. laguillotine's?:

This has mystified several members. Must be a typo for heater panel otherwise known as climate control panel?

Yes it is correct. I have not seen anyone else having this problem on the internet, this far. Anyone out there who have experience in a totally dead climate control panel ?

Hans,

The photo in post #6 is my 2001 XK8 Coupe. I did not have the panel fail in that car or the 2005 XK8 which replaced it. However, I did have one fail in my 2000 XJ8 which uses the same panel.
