Default Which OBDII reader do I need?

My son has a OBDII reader but it won't read the Jag.

Depending on the details of your car (unstated) it is the device that's at fault. But a working one is likely very cheap.

I bought two bluetooth ones off of ebay, the first one didn't work but the second one did with the torque app.
