The Part Load Breather may be clogged (located on the left side valve cover). Or, there may be excessive Blow-By caused by worn rings or Nikasil deterioration. Also, check that there are no breaks or torn areas in the Air Tube that goes from the MAF Sensor to the Throttle Body.

Good call Paul, most likely the part or full load breathers. Thank goodness for air filters!

If the air pipe is slimy (from oil getting past the filter) remove it, take it to the sink and get some dawn soapy water in it to remove any oil film. Then, clean your throttle body, the less oil down inside that, the better.

take your small victories when you can, and enjoy them before moving on to the next issue. Good luck.
