Default oil cooler lines- Difference between MJA7460AB and C2N2208

Hi

It seems to be hard to get hold of good MJA7460AB lines but the later C2N2208 seems to be more readily available. What is the difference between the two? The C2N2208 is for 2002 onwards. Was there a change in the size of the bore? interface with engine? If someone knows this could be useful. Am after on as my original has failed. Finding it difficult to get the hose fixed although there was a very recent thread that should that pirtek fixed a fellow members lines very cost effectively.

The MJA7460AB was superseded to MJA7460AC.

I think the C2N2208 aluminum tube might have different bends or maybe just a superseded part number?(same part?)

Where have you found C2N2208 in the UK. They seemed to be out of stock everywhere I looked, not even second hand ones. Jag told me that they would likely not be manufactured again.

I don't see any reason Pirtek couldn't repair yours, tell they you don't need a guarantee and are happy to accept their best efforts. They will only guarantee hoses made up with new fittings which is fair enough.

Hmmm.. I thought I had found one for sale but its since gone...

I bet this guy has, he is reliable and i went to him years ago but not gone back since. I did get a part from autoreserve but to be honest there were cracks in the MJA7460ab and i didnt trust it..

I wish there was just the engine to line interface available so that I could essentially make my own lines up. I see other people have brazed or added on an AN interface allowing them the freedom to make their own design of lines and change the cooler to one like mocal or equivalent.

At the end of the day I should feel lucky I still have an engine.. I noticed before the level got below minimum. It was all the smoke that warned me..

Seems even the later ones are a bit troublesome.

Google "hydraulic hose repair shops" along with your city name, then call the shops that pop up. You should be able to find a shop that will repair your factory lines for a reasonable price....

Living in a rural area, we have all sorts of hydraulic hose repair places.
The local hardware store as well as my feed store has fittings/hoses/crimp machines etc.
I just installed all new hydraulic lines for the front end loader on my Ford Tractor.

You can carefully remove the old ferrules and hoses to re-use the pipes.
Make sure you orient the fittings or things will NOT line up again.
