Default Oil sump seal

Hello All,

When I changed my cam chain tensioners I found I could use the cam cover gaskets from a certain Lincoln engine. They were more than half the cost from Jaguar and could be sourced at Autozone or other Chain stores. Does anyone know if this is true with the oil sump on the AJ engines?

TIA
Jack

The AJ26 and AJ27 engine sumps (steel lower pan) have no correlation with the LS or Thunderbird 3.9 engines.
The AJ28 (4.0) engine will come closest to the 3.9 V8. They share many parts and the timing components are shared with the AJ26 and AJ27.
The AJ28 and Lincoln LS/Tbird lower pan gaskets are the same.(not AJ26/27)
