You didn't comment on the blockage found or not found.

You also didn't say how many miles on the car but oil is a sign of compression blow by past the rings if the part load breather tube is clear.

Try a can of 'RESTORE' and/or move up a weight in oil and see what that brings but a professional would do a compression test at this point.

Also, the full load breather should have a filter of sorts in the valve cover. If you can see the cams when looking into the breather hole yours is missing...

I can see my valves, now I am worried the filter came off or was removed.

BTW: there was some blockage but it has been removed.

I would take that problem any day over worn rings!

I read that thread in my research, but my problem is with oil in the TB, not the filter, but now that I reread the thread I see the correlation.

Do you really have to buy a new valve cover or do they sell the plate and baffles separately?

The parts database does not show it as a separate part. If the cover was metal, I would say go for used, but a used plastic one might be risky.

In my case, I purchased a new valve cover from Gaudin for about $185. This will definitely help your problem.

You could plumb in an external catch can. Much easier to clean.
