One more supercharged XK8
Sooo, the engine is in its new home. Filled it up with oil/water, did some cranking with the fuel pump fuse removed and voila-it fired right up. First time it was idling rough but it turned out to be an air leak at the duct seals which is now rectified. Now it's purring like a kitten. The only 2 codes are for the VVT, as the ECU is expecting to have the VVT, but the supercharged engine doesn't have VVT. But this doesn't cause the restricted performance or any trouble lights, so I don't care.
But still some bad news. The guy who had rebuilt my supercharger messed everything up and now it's impossible to even turn it by hand. It can be seen in the photo that the rotors are hitting each other. So I am very "pleased" to be looking forward to take everything apart again to remove my poor old Heaton... If the guy manages to fix it soon, I'll put it back as a temporarily solution just to drive during last warm months. If not, than I'll be waiting for the Twin Screw kit which is paid for and being produced right now by Avos. Let it be POWER!

It's finished and runs great. Also added new Powerflex bushings, Adamesh springs and front upper spring mounts. Going make a Dyno run to find out how many new ponies are sitting under bonnet.
Slowly moving on:
Cleaned/welded/powdercoated intercoolers and new 550cc injectors which will allow to reach high boost at high RPM safely without the need to increase the fuel pressure.

Yes, I also expect the tranny to be weak link, but so far it has been holding up well with Eaton. If it breaks after the Twin Screw installation, I'll rebuild it with stronger parts.
