Default ORIGINAL Wind Deflector or Wind Defuser 1998 XK8

I have been Blessed to find a Dream Come True!!! I have purchased a 1998 XK8 with 27,000 Original miles. She is Absolutely Gorgeous!!! But I have a problem that I hope this Forum can help me resolve. The Convertible came with the Original Tonneau Cover still in its Original Bag. Also the Wind Deflector and you can Guess my problem. That's right NO KEYS!!! I have a Locksmith that tells me he can help me with some information. So Please if anyone can Help first and for most with a Photo of one of these Original Keys. That would be Absolutely Wonderful. Second if there maybe any codes/numbers on the Keys. That would be Great also. Thank You in Advance.

Sorry I can't help there, but that is a great find.
Check out the early problems these cars had and pay attention to the timing chain tensioners. Mileage was not the case, just some lasted but most didn't.
Welcome.

Any good locksmith should be able to pick the lock and then cut a key to fit. Obviously a great find. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Just thinking out loud here. If that where my wind deflector where would I keep the key? The only suitable places would be with the pouch that contains they tyre valve and tool.

It looks like this.

Usually kept in the box under the centre arm rest. It could also be in the glove box. In the Glasses cubbyhole thingy by the drivers right knee (UK) Just noticed Tampa! Perhaps by your left knee then?

If you want advice on picking it let me know.

Thank You Frank if nothing else I have learned about the "Glasses Cubby" I missed the Over Head Glasses Cubby in my XJ8L - If it isn't to much trouble for you I would be interested to gain some education on picking the lock?
