Overheated XK8
My 2001 XK8 had a pretty serious overheating episode leaving it with the restricted performance showing, I scanned it and came up with PO327 and PO332 which are the codes for the two knock sensors. the car starts right up and runs real smooth, no rattling or any unusual noises. Any ideas where I should start the repair process ? Can the overheating kill the sensors or ?...sure would appreciate any and all feedback

You probably MELTED the knock sensors on top of the block.
They are plastic coated sensors that don't like to be overheated.
I have a customer car (2002 XJR) in my 'boneyard' that was overheated and the sensors are just puddles of plastic goo. He does NOT want to repair it due to the cost involved.
Check the engine carefully when it is overheated.

yeah...I removed the engine covers and there's a white powdery substance everywhere....is that from the meltdown ?.....what all should I check for ?,,, surely appreciate your input....
