I have gone to the TOPIx site to download the owners manual for a 1997 X100. I get a picture of the car but no info on downloading manual. The registration section says only professionals can register to use the site. What am I doing wrong?

 

Select 'OWNER' on the black bar on the top right. It does look like they have nothing posted earlier than the 2000 model year though, so you will have to say your car is a 2000. Should still be 99% accurate.

 

Thanks White. I have also found the intro to the 1997MY in the sticky, didn't see it at first look. I should be all set. I expect to pick up the car tomorrow if all works out.
This car was sold at auction and ended up on used car lot without manuals, tool kit and vehicle history, but the price was right. According to the autocheck it has always been in the Atlanta area so I'm hoping it was serviced by Nalley. The condition of the body and interior are excellent for a car with 84K mi, so I think it was well maintained. I have been following the forum for several years and am quite capable of handling the repairs and upgrades it may require.

 

The owner's manual comprises a number of individual handbooks. You can download the full handbook sets for model years 1997 through 2003 from this link:
