Default P0098 Restricted Performance

I had "Restricted Performance" the other day while at WOT. Pulled code P0098 right away. I parked, turned the car off for 10 minutes and it was gone when I restarted. Can't find anything that directly pertains to P0098 and X100s. Any advice?

Looked in the workshop manual (free download) for its list of causes?

I have two pieces of advice:

1. please add Model and Year details to your forum Signature. I took the trouble to go and search what you drive but many members wouldn't bother.

2. locate and download the Jaguar DTC listing for your MY. In it you'll find -

See 'Possible Causes' column on the right.

Thanks, Graham. My signature has been set since I joined. Oddly, it's not showing up, even after I just verified it. Strange...

I'll have to look at the IAT sensor 2. But no idea how to test it.

I've just edited then saved your Signature in our Moderator Control Panel and it looks to be showing up OK now.

Unless it's a harness fault, a.f.a.i.k. the temperature sensor itself just fails and has to be replaced. There's no repair or recalibration procedure.
