Default P0172 and P0175

Hi all
These two codes popped up last week, display went to restricted and CEL came on, however engine speed was not effected as had been a previous experience with this display. I cleared the codes and they didn't come back.
Looking at previous posts the main culprits appear to be the MAF sensor and the air filter. I have cleaned the sensor, it wasn't to dirty, however the AF was very dirty so I ordered a replacement .
Anyway to test the MAF if the filter doesn't resolve issue? and would there be anything else to check. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

My wife's 2001 XJ8 had the same fault. I monitored STFT/LTFT and replaced the MAFS, removed the ECM fuse.

The fault recurred so I replaced all 4 O2 sensors. Pulled the ECM fuse and cleared DTCs.

Sometimes the O2 sensors get 'lazy' after years of service.
