I keep get the P0444 intermittently. I replaced the valve around a year ago, so that should not be the issue. Could it be a vacuum leak somewhere else in the system? I did a homebrew smoke test and I found a leak and fixed it, not sure if I have another leak.

Can you think of anything else that could lead to a P0444 - Evap control valve valve open? How do the pros figure these things out???

 

It is not a leak issue, it is an ELECTRICAL issue.

EVAPP to ECM drive circuit open circuit or high resistance
EVAPP failure

 

good to know, now to track that down. This car gives me hours of project work every month, i would really get bored without it.

Any place to start looking?
