The link doesn't work for me, but XKRacer is Paragon Design UK, not Paramount.

And for that same person willing to pay that much of a premium for the Paramount versus oem, I have a great deal on a bridge I can sell you. . .

Al

Interesting that the coupes are worth more than the convertibles.

cheers,

Happens quite a lot, don't worry about it, I even get emails from some of there customers lol..... But that sort of premium on a modified car is ridiculous unless it is something really special, most of Paramounts stuff is simple bolt on stuff and grossly over priced, someone has probably spent an extra 12K modifying there car and wants there money back...... That very rarely happens unless it is very special.

I do know a couple of customers of mine who have sold there cars about 5K above normal but it has cost them more than 3 times that getting there.... You don't modify a car like an XK just to sell it, just not worth it, you modify it because you want to keep it and call it your own.

Thanks Racer...I am such a twit.

Not like I haven't chatted with you enough to know better.

When I first started looking for an XKR I came across Paramount and Paragon quite a bit.

Sorry for the confusion.

The saga of modified cars vs. value is as old as cars.

Most owners love them so much they think everyone else will too.

Kind of like maintenance, it really doesn't add any real value, it just stops the price from dropping.

But if you haven't done it, that can hurt the sale price dramatically.

cheers,

jj
