Help... I'm reaching out to this forum for a part expert. The push-button switches for Sport Mode and Cruise Control (right below the gear shift lever) on my 1998 XK8 are both broken. My Jaguar dealer won't help me as he says the parts are no longer available. I need to find the part numbers for these two switches, and ideally a good source to buy them. Can anyone offer any help?

 

I expect the dealer had to look up the P/N's to determine they were unavailable.

Speed control switch (LJD6227AA)
Performance mode switch (LXD6220BA)

Both P/N's run 1999 through 2006

FWIW, it seems these buttons stick more than they break, being in the splash zone of these wonderful cup holders and all that. Many have reported good results after spraying the internals with contact cleaner (surround trim has to be removed, I believe, for a more complete access, spraying from the top will not do).

Thanks, but my buttons must have had years of spilled coffee and soda as they are both separated at the top and always on. Sadly they need to be replaced.
