Good day all. I am fairly new here but I have a problem with the passenger window. I set the steps, but when I start the car the window wants to go all the way down and will resist efforts to bring it up. Is this related to the latch switch?

My thoughts are one of the 2 window switches is stuck in the down position. Now the hard part which side driver or passenger. I think I would start with spraying both switches with electronic cleaner and see if it will clear the problem. If it doesn't have any effect then it it time to remove door cards and disconnect each one separately and determine the bad one.

 

Thanks. I had spent money replacing the driver's module of switches. However no luck. I will try the other side.

 

I have a similar problem, but sporadically. Occasionally, after I have lowered my top, then raised it, when I start the car next, the passenger window will lower. I can only raise it by activating the driver's side switch, twice(first time does nothing). After this, windows on both sides lower normally, using either switch. Stray electrons??

 

Thanks Sam. Beginning to believe in gremlins. It does seem weird, but I have decided to put in a new battery, since it seems to be a source of many issues .

 

I have a relatively new battery, so that is not my problem. The window problem persists,even today when I started out, the passenger window dropped and had to be raised by depressing the passenger switch twice. Afterward, either side switch operates the window normally. Go figure????
