Performance Chip
I have seen flash programmers and software to be used with laptops for a variety of other vehicles (e.g, the LT1 and LS-1/2 Edit software for GM engines by Carputing). Isn't there any similar software available for backyard tuners for the Jaguar?

That's kind of a low blow for a Reverend, ain't it.

Is there really such a thing as a backyard tuner?
From what I've seen, engine swaps with SBCs for Ford crates are almost as cheap as a complete remap for a few digits of HP gain. Possibly even cheaper if you do it yourself.
Some people forget that we're dealing with a lower volume car geared primarily to an older demographic looking for a smooth, comfortable, classy ride, not a bunch of high school punks looking to race their friends in local parking lots.

I would say it was do-able, at the end of the day you could put any engine you wished in.....But is it viable....not a chance as you would have the same electrical issues as you would with doing a manual conversion
