hello, new to this forum and also a new to me 06 XK8. Car is in great shape but the A pillars have 2 slightly different fabrics on them. one being the original and another where the previous owner changed it out but couldn't find matching fabric. Based on what ive seen its pretty simple to reupholster. Just wondering if anyone has a fabric shop that carries the exact match? currently i think its grey but not sure , car is black on black. any insight would be helpful

 

Go to a well-respected auto tops & interiors repair shop and peruse their upholstery fabrics. You will find a perfect match there at a very reasonable price....

 

This is a relatively easy task there are several you tube videos available to show how. The trims come off easily. I would guess you actually have a material called oatmeal although it looks grey.

 

swung by an auto upholstery shop this afternoon, no match. The actual color is Nimbus Grey. I have an appointment at the local Jaguar dealership for an oil change and thorough going over since i just picked up late last fall, will see if they can get the fabric..... Saw the You Tube videos on changing the fabric and yes it looks pretty straight forward.
