Posting pics of my new '97 XK8
the mich pilot sport a/shave a tendency of wearing in the middle of the tread on the rear so you may want to lower the tire pressures a bit
and keep an eye on the frt tire wear as well
are those fittipaldi or momo wheels?

The tire tech, a SCCA racer, installed them at 42psi; which I thought a bit high. We discussed the pressures and he was pretty adamant, but I think the mid 30's is a more appropriate tire pressure for a street car.
I still have a little wheel shake after a pot hole or road bump which I think is Pass Side Upper Front Control Arm Bushing, or maybe even a Shock Bushing. We couldn't find any other play in the suspension. However, I think the front suspension is under-designed and even the slightestfreeplayis exagerated by the car's overall weight. The convertible's cowl shake just adds to the resonating vibe. Where's the best source of bushings for front end?
PS> The wheels are OZ 17x8.5 41mm offset (I think) They're forged, but heavy.
In Arizona, my car'sformer owner knew Bob Bonderant, the racer. Bobhad these wheels on hisXK8. Both cars wherewhite, andotherwise identical. Before Bob sold his Jag, he and this fellow went to lunch. While inside, Bob had a couple of his mechanics swap their wheels. When the twogot upto leave, this guy walks over toBob's car [with his tires on it] andattempts tounlock it.Obviously the remotedidnt work, and neither did the key! That'swhen he learned that Bob had given him this set OZ wheels as both a very clever joke and a very nice gift. Nice story.
