Programming a Seat Module for '02 XK8
Hi all,
I have the recline/incline issue on my passenger seat of my '02 XK8.
I have swapped the modules, so know it is the module that is at fault. I tried following other advice, and found the cracked track' repaired it but still no joy.
I have now bought another Seat Module - p/n LJE2160AB, to replace the faulty one. I replaced it, and it is worse, which made me wonder if it needed programming.....
Another trip here and I find that yes, indeed, it does need programming - any advice on how to program one of these? Is it a dealer job?
Cheers,
Al

I had both of mine not working when I bought the car and fixed the control modules. It didnt work on one of them, so took it out and looked more closely and low and behold, found more bad tracks. Fixed them, and all is OK. I dont know anything about programming them though. By the way, what are you planning on doing with the old ones?
I ran into this years ago at the dealer. I had to configure the passenger module as the driver's and move it to the passenger side. Jaguar Tech Line helped me on this and later sent a TECH TIP to the dealers. It reads a little different than the advise I got but you might need to have the module configured to the driver's side or to a newer model and reinstalled to your car.
Here is the TECH TIP from 2004
