Purge fuel line
I need to purge the fuel line on my 2006 victory edition in preparation to remove the intake manifold
There is no schreader valve on the fuel rail to release the pressure.
This late model does not have a fuel pump relay that could be pulled to disconnect the fuel pump, as my thought was to pull the relay, start the car and let it run out of gas.
All I can see to disable the fuel pump is….
Disconnect the connector at the fuel pump module or remove fuse number 5 fuse that provides +V to power to the fuel pump module as well as other relays.
If pulling the connector or removing the fuse and starting the car, am I liable to get a whole bunch of error messages?
Does anyone have any comments or suggestions as which way to go?

The fuel line is relatively low pressure compared to a modern direct injection engine and, even if is fully pressurised because the engine has just been running, as long as you disconnect the fuel line carefully, you won't have any issues.
