Hi All,
I purchased my 2000 XK8 with 65,000 miles about three months ago. I still haven't received my title (Probate issue), so I have plenty of time to work on my Cat. Many issues resolved. Replaced Instrument cluster (but mileage is 199,000), Waterpump, Thermostat housing, thermostat, coolant tank with float, and all hoses. I replaced spark plugs and ignition coils too. I replaced the cam cover gaskets and seals, repaired the ABS module, and have done small cosmetic repairs. My main issue now is when Lowering the convertible top, my quarter windows (both) do nothing. I've check the fuses in the luggage compartment and all are fine. Is there a micro switch somewhere that could be checked? Any suggestions welcomed.
Much thanks,

Sorry to hear about the issue you're having. I have spent so much time fixing my XK8 as well, a lot of it was in that rear quarter area!
I find it unlikely both regulators would die at the same time. So while your fuses may all be good, check the relays first and see if they are good as well. I noticed you said you didn't hear anything. See if the relays click. You can either use a relay-tester, or a multi-meter. If they don't click, it could be bad relays. (see below of diagram, sorry it's old and low res). You can also try jumping at the relay point, however, if you have a bad wire leading to the regulators, this won't actuate them either.
Unfortunately, if they are good, you'll have to proceed to pulling the rear seat, and the quarter panel trim (plus the speaker/sub behind it if premium audio is installed) and black support beam. While you can access the rear window electrical connector behind all this, I find it's easier with direct view of it all.
Then, with a PowerProbe, or something to energize it (even a 12v battery), connect the pins together. If the regulators are shot, you won't hear anything, not even the motor. Let us know what you find.
