Default R Performance (MY2000) onwards explanation

Interested in watching video explaining the initial R Performance packages available initially from MY2000?

Default Interesting but way outside my price range

O&DR,

Love your Youtube channel, and nice addition to content.

But way too rich for my wallet. On my base 99 XK8 convertible, I’m just trying to keep it going as my daily driver. Performance extras additions will have to wait... probably for a very long time. LOL!

David, having lots of people responding with relatively negative feedback about the performance options.
The ride quite harsh, tram lining, noisy brakes and the high cost of parts.
Overall if you want a daily driver then stick with the standard kit.
One thing I will be doing in upgrading to larger 325mm front discs with a different caliper carrier using the same calipers.
This was MY2000 upgrade, you might already have these.
Thanks for compliment and reply, Thanks Damian

The guy I bought my 98 Coupe from had added the Brembo brake Kit and the Detroit 20" wheels and the spats on the rear fenders.
I thought the ride was much improved over the standard 17" wheels and tires.

Redsky, Your car is beautiful. Whenever I see an X100, I think it must be one of the best-looking cars in the world and I feel so proud to own one !

Thank you. unfortunately I was forced to sell her due to Medical issues which also forced me to retire. I do agree that the Coupe is a really beautiful design.

My 2000 XKR Coupe was not "R" Performance; It was fairly tight as most XKR's are in the Corner's and on the Freeway but when I got the 2003 XKR Coupe w/ "R" Performance Package; it was like being in a different World....It was much tighter and held the Road much better and was not sloppy anymore! Just a Heck of alot better tighter ride overall and handling was great! So, when I got my 2005, the "R" Performance Package was a requirement...It's a thrill every time I get in it...Just Love it! Fun to drive!
