Default Radio removal to access serial number for code

Hi i'm sure this question will have been asked a dozen times but I find the thread search engine completely useless. How do you remove the radio, as I need to get the serial number off it in order to get the radio code. I put the battery back on after taking the car out of storage and the radio asks for the code. I've got tons of history with the car but the only thing missing is the code card!!

The serial number will not help you, you need to call your local dealer and give them the last 6 digits of your chassis number, they can then look the code up..... They may charge

If you get stuck PM me the numbers and I will get the code for you

Thanks everyone, crickey I've never known such a performance just to take out a radio! I saw a post where someone out on the serial number and a member could read off the code somehow?? I have absolutely no doubt if I call the dealers they will charge!! I may just swap out the head unit for a simple cdplayer as my car doesn't seem to have the changer unit anywhere, it must have been removed at some point. Thanks again

It all depends how you approach them but you will be in a very small minority if they do want to charge for the information and, of course, you can always say no.
