Default Rear Shock lower bushing replacement?

I've done my homework and searched the forum but no info on replacing the rear shock lower bushing. Another source says to remove the shocks. BUT, that entails removing the entire lower plate that bolts to the bottom of the diff and body mounts on each side. Has anyone been able to press them out insitu?

PS I'm a happy guy...had a paint-less dent repair guy come over today and he took out 19 door dings that were on the car when I bought it, plus a large one my son did when he dropped a radio on the rear haunch. Sorry no pics.

Steve, do a little research as it can be done.
Something like taking the bolt out and letting the shock come down through the hole, as you jack up the lower "A" arm.
Sorry I didn't keep the ones I took off a year or so ago on Jon89's wife's car, I could have given you a heads up on the right size socket.

Supersprint: were you able to remove and replace the bush with the shock in place up top? How did you press it out, just with C-Clamp? I'm doing the front damper bushes now and had to use a hyd press to r&r them.

I used this simple home made tool for the job. The new bushings was in the freezer over night before installation.
