Rear View Mirror fix
On my 2004 XKR Convertible the Rear View Mirror fell off. It appears that it was attached with Epoxy or some kind of glue.
Any suggestions on a adhesive to put the Mirror back in place.
Cheers

As dsd pointed out, I believe the simple answer is a new windshield. There are several posts on this forum where folks have tried to re-attach this bracket to the windshield using various generic or specific bonding agents, and have repeatedly failed. I am not sure why that setup is so difficult to work with (I have re-attached mirrors in other cars just fine, with the special mirror glue from the parts store). From what you are describing, someone has tried to glue it on before, and it is failing. Unfortunately, this seems to be an area where DIY is not going to cut it, as much as I hate that.
Best of luck, keep us posted.

Well the replies I got for reattaching the Rear View Mirror were not encouraging, but I don't give up easily. The cost of Glue is a lot less than a new Windshield. I like JB-Weld products so I tried their PlasticWeld. Followed instructions and scuffed up both sides and cleaned them with Alcohol. Glued Mirror base on Windshield held in place with tape.
So nine months later after freezing and Death Valley heat, dirt roads etc. It's still on.
Here is a link to the product. Your local Auto Parts store should have it.

Hope it works for you too.
