I know about the ebay kits that replace the cables and cable end connector box (have no idea what this part is actually called)......I had used one of these kits a few years back and had a problem with the cable end box as the lid would not lock into place and keep the cable ends from popping out as the window travelled to full down or full up position, so I reused the original connector box.
Two days ago, the RR window would no longer go up, took it all apart and see that the OEM cable connector box lid is failing as it will no longer clip in place and retain the cable ends.
Does anyone know if just this connector box is available from Jaguar?....and what the part is actually called? I am hesitant to get another ebay kit as I suspect I will have the same problem with the connector box.
Although perhaps I could just glue and cable tye around the lid.....wonder if there is enough space to do this.......?????
I was able to get the lid to hold long enough to get the window up, then pulled the relays out....we will just leave the top up until I figure-out what to do.
This place in AZ makes metal parts and I had them rebuild mine. I doubt they'll sell you just the parts though... It's been couple of years now and no issues on mine. https://powerwindowrepair.com
Well...that is sure the way to do it right!! Yes a metal box would solve the problem.
Guess I could always call them and ask. I am about three hours away from them.
Thanks.
I have yet to call powerwindowrepair....just too busy with another vehicle.
Anyways thought I would try to see if a couple of zip ties would hold that box together...nope....the zip ties stuck-up too much and got knocked-off.
Sooo.....back to needing to call powerwindowrepair.

So that everyone knows, power window repair will not see parts, complete rebuild only. Guess I get to try another one of those blue 'boxes" off of ebay. Going to try to glue the lid in place this time. Not something will be doing anytime soon due to other projects.
Oh well......
