I could use some advise on how to remove my rear view mirror. I've discounted the wiring harness and attempted to bend the leaf spring forward and backward as I've jiggled the mirror and tried to slide it down. It won't come off! HELP!!!

 

with the blade of your hand like a Karate chop hit the top of the mirror mount straight down parallel to the glass so it slides straight off. to reinstall slide it up on the mount and to seat it, put a small flat blade screw driver through 1 of the 2 little squares on the mirror mount, and catch the window metal mount pry it up onto the mount. Be carefull its easy if you know how, but even then we break several windshields every year doing rear view mirrors.

 

Thanks brutal! I went to chop it and before I could the darn thing just slid off into my hand. I think I scared it off! Anyway, thanks for the reply.
